Job Description

GEAR LLC is currently hiring a service writer. This person will be cross trained to was in parts as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with the mechanic industry but is not required. 

 

This will be a full time position but we could make an exception as long as the part time employee can work at least 4 days/ 30 hours per week. (At 30+ hours they would still qualify for benefits)

 

Must have strong computer skills

 

Duties would include:

  • Helping to check in equipment being brought in for repair
  • Working with Service manage & techs to build repair orders
  • Sourcing parts for items not typically stocked that are needed for repair
  • Helping process warranty claims as needed
  • Collecting payment for completed orders & part sales
  • Greeting customers
  • Answering phones/calling clients to notify work is complete
  •  Communicating quotes/estimates w/ clients
  • Working in the parts dept – assisting clients w/ purchase needs – looking up parts
  • Placing purchase orders
  • Receiving/Checking in delivered purchase orders
  • Communicating w/ clients to inform them their ordered parts have arrived
